Amed is a sleepy black sand beach town in Northeast Bali. The draw for tourists is mainly diving, but if you fancy a super quiet chilled out getaway this is your spot and it is not to be underestimated. The beach, town and surrounding area is bustling with locals enjoying the perks of their beach town, a short drive outside of town provides a stunning vista of the ocean and mountains, the ever present view of the volcano that watches over the little village is ever changing with the movement of the sun and stars, and of course the warm clear waters that contain some of the most interesting underwater life I have ever seen, but more to come on that later!
